Season’s greetings! As the year comes to a close, we are excited to share the latest updates on the 14th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH 2025), taking place from September 29 to October 2, 2025, in Hamburg, Germany. 

Here’s what’s new:

Extended Deadline: Call for Organised Sessions

Good news! The deadline to submit proposals for Organised Sessions has been extended. This is your chance to lead dynamic discussions, share ground breaking research, and contribute to advancing the field of tropical medicine and global health. New Deadline: January 15, 2025 Visit our website for submission guidelines and details. Let’s shape the conversation together! Please note within the submission form the photos of speakers are not mandatory for submission. But once accepted, we need them. Feel free to reduce or enhance the amount of speakers yourself.

Explore the Themes of ECTMIH 2025 - Tracks and Cross-Cutting Topics 

The Congress will feature seven thematic tracks and four cross-cutting topics for which abstracts can be submitted, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive programme. 

Tracks:

  1. Interfaces: Immunology and Interaction
    • Pathogen structure, function, genetics | Organoids | Interaction Pathogen - Host - Vector | Transcriptomics | Novel Diagnostics
  2. Emerging Infections: Pandemics and Control
    • Pandemic preparedness - response - prevention | New infections/AMR | Epidemics

    • Malaria, Tb, HIV | NTDs | Clinical Trials | Epidemiology |Interventions | Diagnostic challenges
  4. One Health: Approaches and Solutions

  5. International Health: Travel and Migration
    • Migration | Urbanisation | Travel Medicine | Disaster
  6. Vulnerable Populations: Poverty and Neglect
    • Maternal health | Child and adolescent health | NTDs | Remote populations
  7. Non-Communicable Diseases: Challenges and Society

These cross-cutting themes will enrich the discussions within each track, ensuring a comprehensive approach to tackling the most pressing Global Health issues of our time.

Introducing the ECTMIH Academy

We are proud to repeat the ECTMIH Academy, a new initiative to strengthen global health skills and competency among postgraduate students and junior researchers and foster the next generation of global health leaders. Organised by iACE Global Health and implemented in collaboration with international partners, the Academy will offer interactive workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities the day before the congress. We are pleased to announce the official opening of the Call for Abstracts. Share your research with a global audience and contribute to the success of ECTMIH 2025. Abstract submission deadline: February 15, 2025 Submit your abstracts via the official website.
